Zoom

Dũng (/|Zoom|/) Nguyễn | (he/him/his)

Just an artist.

Grew up in Hanoi, Vietnam. Zoom then moves to the United States during his sophomore year of high school. He goes to college at the Loyola University Chicago studying Advertising Creative. Fashion and art have always been an escape for him from reality, sometimes as a way for him to express, and evolve as an intellectual being. Zoom finds studying and understanding art is like learning philosophy, he believes that the concept or purpose of art is to help humans progressively grow intellectually. Zoom's style of fashion is described by himself as ContemporaryPunk. According to Zoom, this is his own interpretation of a modernized version of the classic Punk fashion. His series of installation and functional artworks feature a more gothic, alienism, dystopian, and eerie feel. Most of Zoom’s work surrounds the problem that we are often lacking in perspectives, that every story has different aspects. He encourages people to seek sympathy and empathy toward the underrated, which usually go under-recognized.
