The Reincarnation for Crescent Magazine’s Cover W22

Continuation of my Xenoverse collection. The Reincarnation is a multimedia project that connects my tangible art world to my fashion styling. This project is a collaboration with Crescent Magazine.

|The idea of good and bad has always been subjective. There are no bad people, only ones with different intentions. Xenoverse is a wicked, distorted, and cryptic reality. That is the nature of this world. Then, within the vastness of darkness, there comes a light of hope. A creature is born out of the void, a creature that is pure of heart.|

| For this project, I would like to express my perspective on the ideology of goodness and badness. These two terms cannot exist without one another. These are words that when used, you must weigh your decision on the scale of your personal morality, there is no good unless there’s bad and there is no bad unless there’s good. This angelic creature breaking through its cocoon and coming out of THEPORTAL is a representation of a possibility of change and salvation from something that seems to have been fully consumed by “wickedness”, a reincarnation, a metamorphosis. How can something so beautiful and pure of heart come out of something so dark and twisted? However, considering the nature of Xenoverse being a vile place, is the birth of this creature a good thing for this world? For a reality where everything is “evil” is something that is “good”, good for this world? Is this creature a savior or a destroyer?|
